Chesnut is an iOS care companion for people who look after horses. These terms cover use of the Chesnut app and this website.

The service

Chesnut helps you keep routines, notes, photos, and context for horses in your care. Guide Light can help you prepare questions. Chesnut does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.

Guide Light uses third-party AI and can produce inaccurate or incomplete answers. Check important information with a qualified veterinarian; do not delay urgent care because of an AI response. The Privacy Policy explains the information sent for AI processing.

The six visual styles change presentation and overall look and feel only. They do not change app functionality or behavior.

Accounts and Chesnut Plus

You can use Chesnut with a guest session and later connect a caregiver email. Chesnut Plus is an auto-renewing Apple subscription. Payment, renewal, and cancellation are handled by Apple. Restore purchases in the app or manage the subscription in Apple Subscriptions. Apple’s standard EULA also applies: Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

The purchase screen shows the applicable plan, price, billing period and any eligible offer before you confirm. Account deletion does not cancel a subscription. To delete your Chesnut account, open Account & Settings > Delete account; manage or cancel the Apple subscription separately in device settings.

Your content

Care notes, photos, and horse details you add belong to your care space. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share. We may remove content that is unlawful or that puts someone at risk.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Chesnut, probe other people’s care spaces, or use the app to harm a horse or a person.

Changes

We may update Chesnut and these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
